New album Bailey Bird from Ray Cordell is a project that has been around 4 years in the making.
Inspired by a name that Ray encountered on a gravestone in a cemetery in Bury St Edmonds, Bailey Bird started first as a song then an initial intention to release an EP, that has finally resulted in a full length album.
Ray investigated a bit of history of the real life history of Bailey Bird and some of the tracks reflect his thoughts about his life. The album was recorded and produced by Dale Chapman, who also played many of the instruments.
Trapped is the third promotional single taken from the album and is this week's Track of the Week on North Herts Radio. You can hear my full interview with Ray when he visited the North Herts Radio studio to chat with me about the album on The BIG Sound Machine #65.
